Lillian's List of NC

Thanks to our members' support, Lillian’s List had its biggest year yet, and we’re ready to step it up even more for the upcoming election season! Some highlights:

• We had our first-ever national speaker event with Donna Brazile in Raleigh in October. The event was a huge success, and you raised more than $80,000 for our 2012 War Chest to fund our featured candidates!  We can’t wait to introduce you to our featured candidates at the Campaign Kickoff on March 21, 2012.
• We held five local events across the state. We raised money for our candidates and talked with our members about the current political climate and our big plans for 2012.
• Lillian’s List contributed funds to our partner organizations’ legal challenge of the proposed redistricting plan that unfairly double-bunked (put in the same district) many of our Democratic women legislators who fought for us last session.
• We continued to build strategic partnerships with other progressive organizations committed to protecting reproductive choice, gender equality and education in North Carolina.
• We also expanded our staff – now we’ll have the womanpower to reach even more supporters!

We are so grateful to our members for supporting Lillian’s List throughout the past year. Thank you for tuning in, contributing to our candidates and making it clear that we all know how much it matters who serves. We look forward to working with you to take back the General Assembly in the coming year!
