Lillian's List of NC

Although women make up more than half the population, often our voices aren’t at the table when important decisions are made. Supporting Lillian’s List is one way I work to change this imbalance, giving more pro-choice, Democratic women across our state the training and support that it takes to win campaigns.

Our Executive Director Carol Teal is featured in this WRAL video about the partisan Republican redistricting plan, which has targeted Democratic women legislators by placing them in extremely difficult districts or in districts with each other, forcing one of the "double-bunked" legislators to bow out of the race.

Please take a moment to sign our card thanking the six pro-choice Democratic women legislators who have chosen not to seek re-election in 2012. They have fought tirelessly for the rights of women and for the welfare of all North Carolinians!

We'll be teaming up starting this week with sister organizations EMILY's List and Planned Parenthood to host three different trainings in February for our candidates and their staff. Candidate Recruitment Coordinator Claire Giffin explained what the campaign trainings are all about - and why they matter in 2012.

Looking back: Thanks to our members' support, Lillian’s List had its biggest year yet, and we’re ready to step it up even more for the upcoming election season!
