Education Leader
Rose Marie has 20 years of experience in elementary and secondary education and served as a three term president of the North Carolina Association of Educators. She has three degrees in Education; a B.S. in Elementary Education from Pembroke State, a Masters from UNC Greensboro and her Doctorate in Education Administration from Campbell University. Most recently she served as Superintendent for the Cherokee Central School system. |

Rose Marie put into play her passion for women realizing their potential for public service when she stepped up to serve on the Board of Directors at Lillian’s List of NC. She then took on the challenge of running for Congress in 1996 and was the top vote getter in the primary and lost in a run-off to Mike McIntyre. |
