Make a Contribution

Lillian’s List is excited to recommend Patsy Keever to our members, a dedicated environmentalist, a former County Commissioner and public school teacher with over three decades of experience.

Preserve Jobs, Grow Jobs, Grow Green Industries

Patsy knows that we are living in extremely difficult times for too many people. It is essential to concentrate on creating more living wage jobs in the region and supporting the businesses which we now have. There are some clear choices to be made.

Practical, Progressive Environmental Protection

Patsy is a long time supporter of nurturing our natural resources. As a teacher, she initiated recycling programs in her schools and was a role model for sustainability for her students. As a Buncombe County commissioner, Patsy supported zoning in order to protect property rights and protect our natural resources. She led the push to begin recycling in Buncombe County.

Strengthen Public Schools

Over half of North Carolina’s $21.3 billion budget goes to education.  As a public school teacher for 25 years, Patsy has the first-hand experience and knowledge to be a leader on this critical issue. Patsy will work to ensure everyone an equal opportunity to a public education at every level, thereby creating a well-informed citizenry more willing and able to play an active role in the affairs of our community.

Equal Rights for All Citizens

Patsy Keever supports equal rights for all citizens regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, political beliefs, religious/spiritual faith, age, or lifestyle.

Healthy Citizens, Healthy Families, Healthy Economy

As a member of the Buncombe County Board of Health for over 12 years, one of the original board members of HealthPartners, and a current member of CarePartners Health Services, Patsy is knowledgeable about the need for and delivery of health services to the public. She is a firm believer in the research demonstrating that healthy children become healthy adults. Healthy adults, in turn, are much better equipped to become contributing members of society.
